Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family earnings does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African my nsfas citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 my nsfas 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to nsfas 2025 study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
